Why Does My Furrion RV Electric Fireplace Have A Flashing Red Light?

Question:
Morning, we have a Jayco 317RLOK with a Furrion fire place, we run it for a few hours and then a red.light appears and is flashing! So we turn it off for a few seconds and turn it back on and the light turns off! Why do you think this happens ?? is it safe or is it defective?

I went ahead and checked out the owner's manual for your Furrion RV Electric Fireplace with Crystals - 30" Wide # FF30SC15ABL and this is typically an indication that there is something obstructing the proximity sensor within your fireplace.
To fix this issue, you are going to need to make sure that there is nothing within 6" of your fireplace and reset the unit by holding down the power button.
