Can Front Panel of TruXedo Deuce Tonneau Cover Be Opened on 2013 Toyota Tacoma with Tailgate Locked

I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma 6ft bed with a lockable tailgate. Can this cover still be secured with the tailgate locked or is the cab release for the front fold-back still openable?

The front of the TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX756901 can be opened whether the tailgate on your 2013 Toyota Tacoma is shut and locked or not. It's a neat feature but does reduce the amount of security and peace of mind that standard tonneau covers provide.
For alternative options that don't include this feature I recommend checking out the TruXedo Lo Pro # TX556901 which is a standard soft folding tonneau cover, or the BAK Revolver X2 # BAK39407 which is a hard roll up tonneau cover. The Revolver covers are my favorite because they combine the look of a soft cover with the durability and security of a hard cover. These covers are only release back by the tailgate so when it's shut and locked your truck bed will be better secured.
