Recommended Oil for A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator

Question:

What do YOU recommend oil to buy for the 4stroke iPower 2000watt inverter generator? There’s too many recommendations. Also Can I use synthetic oil? Thx

I recommend using SAE 10W-30 APISJ for the # 289-SUA2000i since that is what it was engineered to use according to the manufacturer. This covers a wide temperature range so you probably won't have issues with the viscosity unless it gets really cold. Also yes, you can use synthetic oil with the inverter generator. Full synthetic 5W-30 will actually get you the largest temperature range running from -20°F to 120°F, so if you will be running this in cold temperatures that would be the way to go. If you're looking for what brand to get, I would choose a reputable brand like Mobil 1.
