Hi. I have a 2001 GMC Safari. Please tell me what hitch and any necessary wiring I need to buy so I can tow a small trailer. I have a full size spare tire under the van. Thanks.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75122 is our receiver for your 2001 GMC Safari confirmed to fit with the full size spare tire. This class III receiver has a 2" opening and hidden cross tube for a clean look.
The Hopkins Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM41225 will allow you to wire in a 4-way flat trailer connector. This is the connector most used on small trailers. If your trailer uses electric brakes or requires a 7-way for an onboard battery you will need the Kit # ETBC7. This includes the wiring needed to connect a Brake Controller # 90195 along with a charge line.
