Static Roof Weight Limit for 2013 Lexus RX450h For Roof Top Tent

Hey guys, I am trying to figure out if I can use a rooftop tent on my 2013 Lexus RX450h. The weight limit listed is 165lbs, but I was wondering if I could exceed that when at a stop? That seems to be the case with a lot of new cars, but I can not find anything on 2013 RX450h. Thanks,

The 165 lb weight capacity of your 2013 Lexus RX 450h is a dynamic weight capacity which means it's the amount of weight it can carry while incurring the bumps and dips on the road which exaggerate that weight. The static weight capacity is how much it could carry if the vehicle was standing still which would be much higher but in your case not a known figure.
The good news is that the roof top tents we carry like the Yakima SkyRise HD part # Y07436 were designed for racks with a dynamic weight capacity of 165 lb so it's very likely your rack would work just fine. This tent happens to have a 400 lb weight capacity.
