Stereo Replacement Recommendation for a Quest QX-3801

Question:

Replace a In Wall QX 3801 stereo in a 2004 Komfort. There are no screws just a faceplate. It is walled in, how do I remove it?

From what I could find online it looks like your Quest QX-3801 stereo does mount with bolts but they may be hidden with plugs in the face of the stereo. Try looking for any removeable plugs near the corners of your stereo.

Once the stereo is removed I recommend replacing it with something like the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM40. Your old stereo is larger than models made today so you will need to fill in the gaps with some trim. Just as an example the Jensen has overall measurements of 8-3/16" wide x 3-3/8" tall x 4-5/16" deep.
