Question:
Hello, I own a 2015 Subaru Forester and Im looking to add a hitch, the Yakima Exo SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender, and Yakima Gear Warrior Cargo Carrier, 60 long x 23 wide. I have a couple questions: 1 What hitch is recommended for the Subaru Forester and will the hitch work with the Yakima Exo Swing base? 2 Is the hitch something that I could install? Thank you.

I have a couple receivers you can consider for your 2015 Subaru Forester depending on the look you are wanting to achieve. I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76182 as it is our best looking receiver once installed. It has a hidden cross tube which gives it a factory appearance and will least affect your ground clearance. Installation will be more difficult and the instructions are linked below to determine if this is something you feel comfortable installing yourself.
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98839 is going to be our easiest receiver to install. The receiver does have a visable cross tube and it will affect your ground clearance. If you do not feel this is going to be an issue for your driving then you can use this receiver.
We do have the Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier # Y72VR which combines the Yakima EXO SwingBase # Y34VR and Yakima GearWarrior Cargo Carrier # Y37VR. We also have the WarriorWheels Cart Kit # Y97VR if you would like to use the cargo carrier as a cart when you get to where you are going.
