Alternative Eye Bolt Recommendation For Thule Aeroblade Cross Bars

Question:

I want to start using my thule aeroblade fitted roof rack to carry thingsinch lumber, poles, boxes, etc that need to be strapped down securely. My plan is to remove the decorative filler straps to fully expose the T channel and 4 eyebolts such as thule TH37QC in the T channel to which I can attach bungee cords. While I somewhat willingly paid the exorbitant prices thule charged for the roof rack assembly, and cargo carrier, I find it an abomination that thule expects people to $80 dollars for 4 eyebolts... when what appears to be equally serviceable hardware can be located from other sellers at a fraction of what thule is charging. Before damning thule completely and taking an sacred oath never to mention, utter, or think of thule again.... I wanted to inquire with the etrailer experts why anyone in possession of their senses would choose the thule option? What makes the thule hardware upto 8 times better as measured in cost than other hard2are. Thanks

Though I would agree that the price for 4 eyebolts is excessive, however that is what they choose to market their product at and there isn't much we can do with that, however check out the:

-Eyebolts for Rhino-Rack Aero/Sportz Crossbars # S604.

This is a much more economical option that will also fit your Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack, and are designed to fit a top channel with a 7/8" width at the bottom, and a neck width of 7/16".
