Question:

I am hopping you can recommend a trailer that will allow me to transport a Hobie PA 14, plus up to two other kayaks. Aside from being able to take the kayaks the most important thing is to minimize the floor space it would take up so we can still park both cars in our garage. Was looking at either of if the Maloney or the Yakima rack and roll but I’m not sure how big they are when up against the wall with wheels removed. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I recommend going with the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08106 over the Malone # MAL63FR with the Thule The Stacker # TH830.

This will give you the ability to carry 3 kayaks on their side rather than side by side.

The reason I recommend going with this kayak trailer instead is due to the fact that the tongue can be removed to save a ton of space, and will reduce the trailer down to being only 6' long.

On top of that, this trailer can support up to 250-lbs, which is more than enough to cover the weight of your Hobie PA 14 kayak, plus two more medium sized kayaks.
