I need to know the largest Thule cartop cargo box that will fit the 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE that will allow for hatch clearance.

For your 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE with factory crossbars, I recommend the Thule Force XT XXL item # TH6359B. This box has the largest internal dimensions out of all of our cargo boxes at 22 cu ft. It also comes with a dual-opening lid that can be accessed from either side of your vehicle. I confirmed with Thule that your rear hatch can fully open with this box mounted on your roof. This box requires 54-3/4" from the front cross bar to the line where your roof and hatch meet if you would like to confirm for yourself.
