Your first step is to check your Liberty owners manual (or with your local dealership) for any requirements or restrictions related to flat towing. Some vehicles may require modifications in order to be flat-towed. You will also want to check your motor home manual to confirm it can safely tow the full weight of your Liberty.

Using this you can select base plates compatible with your specific Liberty based on whether or not it has rock guard or skid plate. Note that the Renegade version has no base plates available. When setting up your Jeep Liberty for flat towing you will need to follow the steps listed in the owner's manual (under "Recreational Towing"). It looks like you'll eventually turn the ignition to PARK so I suppose the key can be removed but you may want to verify this with a local Jeep dealer too.
