Flat towing a vehicle behind a motor home requires a number of components: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring/lighting and a supplemental braking system. The linked article covers each of these items in detail.
Your first step is to check your Liberty owners manual (or with your local dealership) for any requirements or restrictions related to flat towing. Some vehicles may require modifications in order to be flat-towed. You will also want to check your motor home manual to confirm it can safely tow the full weight of your Liberty.
Your choice of base plates will depend on the version of the Liberty you have; a link is provided that offers a drop-down menu at the top (Select Vehicle Style). Using this you can select base plates compatible with your specific Liberty based on whether or not it has rock guard or skid plate. Note that the Renegade version has no base plates available. All options feature removable twist-lock draw bars to allow them to be removed when not in use (saving a lot of potential bumps to your shins).
Tow bars are offered in both RV-mount and Car-mount and coupler or hitch styles. Wiring kits come in a variety of types also, ranging from hard-wire types that require modifying your towed vehicle wiring to simple plug-in magnetic light kits that install in seconds without need to alter your vehicle in any way. Supplemental braking systems also come in several types, including both proportional and pre-set systems. Refer to the linked article for information on such systems.
I have also included a link that will take you to our main tow bar page where you can enter your vehicle information to see appropriate options for these various components.
