How To Find the Correct Ball Mount for a 2021 Toyota RAV4
Updated 06/17/2022 | Published 06/16/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2021 RAV4 Prime with a Draw-Tite Class III receiver from eTrailer!, where the receiver sits at about 10inch off the ground. Id like to tow some small 2,250 lbs gross, 250 lbs tongue weight trailers, including one with a coupler at 24inch high. Is there a way to get to 24inch height with my receiver? I purchased from eTrailer! the Curt Channel Style Ballmount, 5-1/4inch Rise, 6-3/4inch before I knew how much rise I needed, but obviously that wont do the trick. Is there a different ball mount that would do the job? And/or is there another adapter/riser that I could use with the Curt ball mount I already have to achieve the 24inch in height?

In order to find the correct ball mount rise/drop for a 2021 Toyota RAV4 you'll need to measure from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver on the vehicle and then from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on the trailer while level. The differences between the two measurements will be your rise/drop. The etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches part # 989900 for example has multiple options for different trailers.
I have attached a full list of options below once you find the needed rise/drop.
