How long would these last if used in a wireless mouse? Would alkaline be preferable to regular batteries that are less expensive?

While I cannot give you an exact amount of time the Duracell Coppertop AAA Batteries # DU48QR will last in your wireless mouse I can say we have the Duracell Optimum AAA Batteries # DU26QR that are also alkaline but have a different formula that out lasts even their Coppertop batteries.
