I have a travel trailer with 3000lb axels i would like to order road armor lc696740 kit but the Equaflex lc279687 kit bolt distance measurements are closer to my trailer shackle dimensions how critical are the measurements

Since your axles are only 3,000LB capacity I recommend the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 as they are rated for 3,000-6,000lb axles. And as you said the dimensions better match your current equalizers.
The Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740 having the higher weight rating of 3,500-8,000lbs means that equalizers will not perform as they were designed.
The Lippert Tandem Axle Equa-Flex AP Kit # LC64FR will allow you to upgrade your bolts to wet bolts. This kit includes 3-1/8" long shackle mounting centers. Be sure to verify the length of your shackles as you do not want to replace shorter shackles with longer as it could lead to parts contacting the frame more easily. If your leaf springs have nylon bushings it is best to replace them with Bronze Bushings # K71-291-00.
We have the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR that uses 2-1/4" long shackle mounting centers if you have the shorter length.
