Question:

hello, I intend to apply this airbag AL60820 kit to my 2012 jeep Liberty kk, rear suspension. I noticed that some other manufacturers use a protection in the air bag, so that small stones, debris, sand etc.. do not wear the rubber. I already understood that it is necessary to maintain a minimum pressure always to prevent it from getting loose and then accelerate this wear around 5 p.s.i ok??. So, would you know what would be the best material to apply and if the etrailer would have it in its portfolio? This is the model that I saw being made in Autralia Thank you in advance

I haven't heard of a US air bag manufacturer putting a wrap around their air bags to prevent road debris from damaging them but I do understand where you're coming from. You can use the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs # AL60820 on your 2012 Jeep Liberty but I don't have a recommendation for a material to place over the air bags so I unfortunately can't help you out there.

To be perfectly honest, our manufacturers have said the most common way the coil air springs get damaged is when people don't run that minimum 5 psi so the bag ends up getting pinched in the coils and damaged that way.

For something that is more durable than air bags you can use the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TJRL4. These are essentially solid pieces of rubber so they can take a hit. The only downside to these over the air bags is that they aren't adjustable so some people have said it affects their unloaded ride quality.
