Replacement of WFCO With 35-Amp Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center PD4135K

Question:
I am changing from a lead acid to a Lithium 12v 100amphour battery. The RV has a WFCO 25e. What replacement converter do you recommend? What size wire is necessary to charge the battery? Would the opening in the wall have to be modified? Would the Renogy Solar panels on the roof be affected? The PD4635LIV on your site looks like the best replacement.

I recommend the Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger, # PD4135K. This works with lithium-ion, LiFePO4, flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries. I do not have specs available for a WFCO unit that you refer to, but if your current unit is a 25-Amp converter, I would not change out with anything higher than 35-Amp unless you want to replace wiring too. This is a 35-Amp unit and should have at least 8 gauge wire in place for charging the battery.
This requires a cutout of 10-1/4" long x 7" tall. Compare this your current cut out to determine what, if any, modifications are required for your application. There aren't any negative effects to solar panels when properly installed.
