Question:

Hi, I have a 2020 Nissan Titan for which Im trying to locate the appropriate system to carry canoes. I do not have a cap on the bed and the bed is 5 1/2 feet long. There is a tonneau cover on the bed. Im currently leaning toward a Rhino rack two bar option on the roof but Im unclear about the spread length between the two bars being long enough to secure two canoes. Can you advise on this? The other option would be one bar on the roof and the hitch mounted T-bar but thats not preferable as Id also like to carry a bike rack on that hitch. A bed mounted ladder rack tall enough to clear the cab would work but then Id need to butcher my tonneau cover to mount it. I think 22 or 22.5 inches should clear the top of the cab from the top of the bed sides from what I could measure. Thanks for the help. ps. I have some Yakima extra long round load bars from my SUV that worked great but Yakima appears not to make feet for this Titan roof.

Thank you for all of the info! I have a great ladder rack option that will both work with the TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX1497301 you have on your 2020 Nissan Titan 5-1/2' bed and clear the top of your cab.

The TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System # TX96NV comes with special rails that allow you to mount the ladder rack without modifying your tonneau cover and it has 18" and 28" height settings so you can make it lower for when you aren't using the rack or you have shorter loads, but then use the higher setting for longer loads like your canoes.

From here you can load up your canoes directly to the ladder rack or you can use a carrier like the Thule Portage # TH819 (1 for each canoe) so everything has fits a little more specifically.
