Question:
I need a class 2 hitch for the above vehicle to pull a motorcycle trailer that requires 12 - 16inch from the ground to the center line of the receiver. While the bottom edge of the bumper cover is 14 1/4inch from the ground, which would translate to 12 3/4inch to the receiver centerline assuming the receiver was mounted flush to the lower edge of the bumper cover, all of the images I can find seem to suggest that theres a good 1 - 1 1/2inch gap between the top edge of the outside of the receiver and the bottom edge of the bumper cover, which would put me under the 12inch minimum. The item Im wishing to trailer is the Original Slick Wheelie Motorcycle Trailer. Please let me know of the best hitch meeting these criteria. Thanks!!

Going with a ball mount that has a different amount of rise/drop is typically the easiest way to compensate for a hitch height and coupler height that does match up well. Like if you installed the etrailer hitch part # e98866 which has a distance of 14-1/4 from the top of the hitch opening down to the ground you could use a ball mount like the # DT49MR which can do a drop of 2 inches or a rise of 3/4 inch.
