Fulton Swivel Trailer Jack Inner Leg Does Not Go Up or Down when Turning the Handle

Question:

ONCE JACK IS SWIVELED DOWN INTO POSITION HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTINGTHE WHEEL TO ROTATE DOWN. I TURN THE HANDLE CLOCKWISE AND COUNTER CLOCKWISE AND THE WHEEL DOES NOT MOVE UP OR DOWN.

On some jacks the inner tube will spin when you turn the handle and it will not appear like the inner leg is moving up or down. Try keeping the wheel from spinning when turning the handle because sometimes it just needs a little resistance to get going.

If it continues to not go up or down then there is most likely a problem in side the jack with the beveled gears and they would need to be replaced. You can take the top cap off and turn the handle to see if the gears are moving. If they are then they are not the issue.

For Fulton jack # FXP10, the correct replacement gear kit is # F0933302S00.
