Question:

I recently purchased a 2022 InTech Flyer Discover and want to add a weight distribution/sway control hitch. I read your response to a prior question on this topic but would prefer not to drill holes in the trailer frame if possible. If I cut 2 small slots in the cover with a dremel, would I be able to use something like the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 8K GTW, 800 lbs TW Item # BLU47FR or similar? If so, what would you recommend for 5000 lb GVWR and max tongue weight of 750 lbs? Thanks!

You only have two options to attach a weight distribution system to your 2022 InTech Flyer Discover's tongue. The Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 8K GTW, 800 lbs TW item # BLU47FR will work if you cut large enough holes in the top covering over your tongue to get the brackets to attach. You should check and see if this voids any warranties you may have with your new trailer. This system has a 600 lbs - 800 lbs tongue weight capacity range and would work great with your towing set up.

If you decide you do not want to cut into your trailer you will need to drill into your trailer's tongue and use the Reese Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On item # RP58305 to provide mounting points for a weight distribution system. You won't be able to use the Blue Ox TrackPro with these brackets you will want to use the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW item # RP66087. This system has a 400 lbs - 800 lbs tongue weight capacity.
