Updated 08/12/2013 | Published 08/07/2013

Question:

I have an hyaundai entourage 2007 the owner manual says max tongue weight of 350 lbs and max tow capacity of 3500lbs which is 10 percent I understand that part but I dont like the model they offer in the quick pic guide. also if I change van or get a truck I would like something which I could put on it also ?Another thing I like the fast ways friction system it makes a lot more sense then the reese mini 350 which has replacement friction pads which wear out and need replacement. what in the wear time? one year 2, 20 000 miles? what do you think? Another thing also I would like to know is what is the difference between 2 point and 4 point sway system on the fast ways? thank you for your time

I believe you are referring to the list we have compiled that shows the top 20 weight distribution systems that owners of 2007 Hyundai Entourages have purchased. This does not mean that this is the best system for your application. The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of your setup. You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle should also be considered as tongue weight.

I attached an FAQ article on determining tongue weight for you to check out also. Its hard to say exactly how many miles the friction pads would last, but they are made of the same material that brake pads are made of so they should last a very long time as long as the system is used correctly.

The Pro Series 550 pound system, # PS49901 might be a better choice for you, but that really does depends on the tongue weight of your setup. It comes with everything you need and is rated for up to 550 pounds tongue weight.
