There are some differences to consider with the Curt Hitch # CU78FR and the Draw-Tite # 76320 for your 2022 Ford Explorer. First off, the weight capacity offerings are different. For the Curt, it offers 600 pounds of max tongue weight and 6,000 pounds of max gross towing weight capacity. For the Draw-Tite, it offers 900 pounds of max tongue weight and 6,000 pounds of max gross towing weight capacity.

Another difference is the coating on the hitches. The Curt includes a gloss outer coating over the base powder coat to provide more rust and corrosion resistance than the Draw-Tite. As far as the Draw-Tite, it includes a basic powder coat over the e-coat base.

Lastly, the Curt is assembled in the U.S.A. while the Draw-Tite is assembled overseas.

Other than those two differences, the hitches are virtually the same. If I had to recommend one, the Curt hitch is a great choice for most applications. You also receive the benefit of extra corrosion and rust resistance. If you need a wiring harness to complete your setup, that is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118599. This harness will provide you with basic brake light, running light, and turn signal functions.
