Is there a bed cover you can recommend for this rack? Is it compatible with a bed cover?

The Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XTB isn't compatible with a tonneau cover because it uses a clamping system that sit in the same space as the tonneau cover rails so you won't be able to install both at the same time. We do have some options for adding a tonneau cover and ladder rack on your 2018 Ford F-150 though so this setup isn't completely out of the question.
My favorite combination is a Retrax cover that comes with the XR rails which makes it compatible with the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-5855. This ladder rack can then adjust along those rails and it has some height adjustment as well. The 300 lb weight rating should be more than enough for anything you'll be loading on the rack. The correct Retrax cover depends on the length of your bed:
5-1/2' Bed - RetraxONE XR # RTT-60373
6-1/2' Bed - RetraxONE XR # RTT-60374
8' Bed - RetraxPRO XR # RTT-80375
We do have a few other combinations that will work and are a little more cost-effective but they don't have the flexibility this system has to offer. If you'd like to see what else might be available just let me know the length of the bed on your F-150. I'm attaching a video of this cover and ladder rack system installed on a 2020 Ram so you can get an idea of what it will look and operate like.
