i am looking at the hitch #24825. do i also need something else? do i also need the sportframe drawbar? do you have instructions you can give me on how to install on my car? thx!!

For the 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit, Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24825 will fit. If you plan on doing some towing then the correct ball mount to use is # 3594. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258.
For trailer wiring use # 119250KIT. Installing trailer wiring on a 2008 Rabbit is going to be different than what the wiring instructions actually say. I have included a link to an FAQ article that should help you.
Please consult your vehicle owners manual before doing any towing to get the vehicle tow capacities and do not exceed them.
