I am getting a 2022 Subaru Forester and I am looking for a hitch to tow a small uhaul trailer as I am moving across the country to live in the desert. The trailer is not very big. I don't know what it weighs. Is there something for an '22 Subaru that will work? And what else will I need?

Yes, there is a hitch receiver for your 2022 Subaru Forester that will allow you to tow one of the small uhaul trailers. It is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13409. This is a custom fit hitch receiver that bolts directly to your Subaru's frame with included hardware and requires no drilling or welding.
You are also going to need a wiring harness, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118467. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, either behind the driver's-side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment. This will provide you with a 4-flat connector to control the trailer's lighting functions.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
