Typically an RV socket, like what you find SmartPlug RV Power Cord and Black Inlet # SM69FR, is installed on the side of the RV so it's easily accessible. Since you're wanting to install this at the trailer hitch we will need to get a bit creative as there aren't any brackets designed to fit with the bolt pattern of the SmartPlug socket.
For your application I recommend looking at a no-drill bracket like what you find with part # 18136. Again, this isn't designed for the SmartPlug so you may need to cut a hole in the bracket or something like that to get it to fit together.
Once you make your wiring connections at the back I recommend protecting the wiring with some wire loom # 459075-1 and then using the Loctite Dielectric Grease # LT37534 to seal everything up and protect against the elements.
