Thermostat Recommendations for an Electric Fan

Will this unit work to start stop a add on cooling push air fan attached to the rad? The fan draws 8amps will I need a relay harness?

For an electric fan you would need to use a different thermostat control like # D15721 for an in-line or # D16720 for a thread-in style. The thread in style is recommended for fans that draw more than 10 amps. Each of these thermostats is rated higher than the 8 amps your fan is drawing. The thermostats will start the fan if the temperature gets above 180 degrees. No switch or additional harnesses (other than regular wire appropriate for this application) are needed.
