Question:

I want to install custom plug in wiring on my 2013 chevy sonic. I am confused about which of your products will work. I do not want to bypass vehicle wiring, if possible. Your suggestions please.

For tow bar wiring for a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic, the best option is the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit w/ 7-Way to 6-Wire Connector - LED Bulb and Socket, # RM-152-LED-7. We have an installation video created of this product being installed on a 2015 Chevy Sonic. Please note the linked video below.

If you do not already have the other needed items for a complete flat tow set-up for your Sonic, I suggest the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1703 and the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380. This tow bar comes with the needed safety cables.

You will also want the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 so that you do not have to pull a fuse every time you flat tow and for supplemental braking, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System, # BLU37TR.
