Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Short Bed

Question:
I have a 2013 RAM 1500 with the short bed, I believe its 57.... Do you have a above bed gooseneck hitch? Ive never had a gooseneck or 5th wheel so any additional insight would be helpful. My plan is to get a gooseneck dump trailer for the skid steer and haul rock.. Thanks.

If you have the really short bed then there are no gooseneck trailer hitches that are going to fit. But if you have the 6 foot bed there are some options. I like the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose, # 9464-46. But the general applications for gooseneck hitches for the 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 exclude models with the Crew Cab.
The hitches come with the proper installation kit. You may also be interested in added in-bed wiring using # 41157.
On a short bed truck, you can run into clearance issues when making tight turns. But with a gooseneck trailer that is pointed at the front rather than wide at the front (like a 5th wheel trailer) turning should not be an issue.
