Question:
I have a 2015 Coachmen Leprechaun Class C Motorhome. It has the 7 pin plug mounted on it. Does this mean it is set up for electric brakes and that I only need to purchase brake controller? What brake controller would be recommended? I will be towing a car dolly with electric brakes.

Expert Reply:
There should be trailer brake controller provisions on a 2015 Coachmen Leprechaun Motorhome, simply look for the brake controller plug behind the storage tray in the dash. If you need help with this you can reference the video attached below at around the 16:30 mark. If you have this plug then you can easily attach a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 which is what I recommend using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3034-P.
Please note, the above is for models built on a Ford E-Series Chassis.
