Yes, you can mount the Thule Pulse Cargo Box, # TH614, off center toward the passenger side of your Prius V. In fact, this cargo box was designed to open only on the passenger side so you could safely open the cargo box on the side of the road if you found yourself in that situation.

If you want to mount the cargo box closer to the passenger side of the vehicle to make it easier to open, load or unload, that is perfectly fine.
