Expert Reply:

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle, part # F89ZR, and the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle, part # F95FV, are very similar. Each of these air springs have the ability to adjust the air pressure individually. The air springs have a double convoluted design. The addition of the air springs will help keep your truck level under load. However, there are some differences.

The Ride-Rite Red Label air springs have a higher weight capacity, 7,500 lbs vs. 5,000 lbs. In addition, the Red Label can be installed without any drilling. The regular Ride-Rite air springs will still have applications that may require drilling. I definitely recommend getting an onboard air compressor. With the air compressor, you can inflate or deflate your air springs from the cab and/or from your smartphone via an app.

I have included product description links and video installation links below.

My recommended air compressor is the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Bluetooth - EZ Mount, part # AL58WQ. It is a dual path air compressor, so you can air each spring individually. My favorite feature is the Bluetooth compatibility. This allows you to turn your smartphone into a functional remote control.
