I want to know if this pin or similar pins are made from stainless. I need them to latch some rails together on a boat.

The 1/4 inch diameter snapper pins we have are all regular steel. For a stainless steel 1/4 inch diameter pin take a look at the locking pin # 2847DAT. I have included a link to a video review for you. You will get the stainless steel construction you are after plus the added security of a lock.
