Removing The Tailgate With The Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock # PAL8450 Installed
Published 11/11/2021 >
Question:
I occasionally have to remove the tailgate. Do you know if the wiring will allow for easy removal from the vehicle? This is a general question as I have another truck that I may want to install this on also. That other truck I remove the tailgate frequently to load a slide in camper. Thank you,

The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Power - Black # PAL8450 has a short wiring harness that will run through the tailgate and then under the bed to the frame and plug into the long wiring harness connector so as long as you mount the connectors is an easily accessible position under the vehicle it should only take a few seconds to unhook them and then remove the tailgate.
