Question:

I am concerned about the head assembly weight and shank on The E2 Fastway Equalizer Problem: I will need to remove the Head frequently when I arrive at the campground to put my bike rack onto my truck. I used to have the Blue OX sway pro and that head and shank was way too heavy. Send any other comparable suggestions in WDH

The head of the Fastway E2 weight distribution # FA92-00-0600 weighs 20 lbs and the shanks typically weigh around the same. So there's no way around having some weight to the systems but this should be considerably less than a Blue Ox Sway Pro as they have a lot more going on with them.

One product we carry that makes transporting the heads and shanks a little easier is the HitchGrip part # 303-HG-712 which grabs the head by the ball and gives you a handle that makes carrying the 40 lbs a little more comfortable. This is only available for the 2-5/16 inch ball size.
