Question:

Please provide me with a Basecamp 16X recommendation for an Equalizer Weight Distribution/Sway Control system. I also want a system that I do not have to disconnect when backing up.

I looked up the weights of your 2022 Airstream Basecamp 16X and based on what I found the best weight distribution system and sway control would be the Reese Strait Line part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and has the best sway control for preventing sway before it starts.

For a 2 inch hitch ball you'd then want the part # A-90 and you'd be set.

The part # EQ37100ET would work great for your Basecamp and either of your tow vehicles. All WD systems will allow you to back up mostly straight but if you end up having to jackknife the trailer you'd have to disconnect the spring bars.
