Question:

I already have the 2 inch Curt hitch on my 2022 Chevy Equinox but now I'm needing to add some wiring for towing my trailer. Any help would be great!

Glad to hear you're off on the right start with the Curt Trailer Hitch # C77FR on your 2022 Chevy Equinox! I'd be more than happy to help you navigate the wiring side of things.

Smaller trailers usually only have a 4-Way connector for the basic lighting functions and for this I recommend the T-One # 118759 if you have the Premier model, the T-One # 118750 if you don't have the Premier model, or the Curt # C94FR if you have the factory Tow Package. Attached are some installation videos for you to check out.

If you'll be towing a larger trailer that has brakes then you'll need to install a 7-Way connector and brake controller as well, and for that I recommend the Universal Kit # ETBC7 and the Tekonsha Prodigy iD # TK49VR brake controller. The universal kit comes with all of the wiring and connections you need for the install and the Prodigy iD is a reliable options that installs practically anywhere and looks like an OEM solution due to the design of the control knob. You'll also need a No-Drill Bracket # 18140 to secure the 7-Way back near the hitch receiver.
