Question:
What is the distance from the length ends to the handle outside edge? Will the Slim Line Truck Boxes work with the UWS 4foot and 5foot Side Boxes? Can the Slim Line Box be opened from either handle with a side box on both sides of the truck? Thank you

The UWS Slim Line Truck Bed Toolbox # UWS00405 and # UWS00280 both have a measurement of 9" from the edge of the tool box base to the outside edge of the handle for opening the tool box.
You can use these boxes with either of the UWS Truck Bed L-Shaped Side Rail Toolbox 48" # UWS01600 or 60" # UWS01603 but you will need to leave a gap between the boxes for the handles to clear. I recommend leaving around 6" so that you will be able to easily reach between the boxes rather than trying to reach over or having to climb inside the bed to reach the handles.
While both handles will open the Slim Line tool box the lock is located on the drivers side only.
A Gull Wing Series UWS Truck Bed Toolbox # UWS00030 does have handles on the sides with each side having its own lock. With this box you could have a much narrower gap and still be able to access the handles on the box easily.
