Good question, and there are only slight differences between the Curt and Draw-Tite hitches that fit your 2021 Ford Explorer, which are the following part numbers:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # CU78FR
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76320
Since the installation between the two is the same, the biggest differences are that the Draw-Tite has more ground clearance than the Curt to help keep any accessories like a bike rack from contacting the ground, and it has a 900 lb tongue weight capacity compared to the 600 lb capacity of the Curt, and the added strength of a hitch always gives me peace of mind, particularly for towing. Those are the only differences between the two, and if it were my Explorer I would install the the Draw-Tite # 76320.
The other thing I wanted to mention, in case you were using the hitch for towing, is that if you also need a trailer wiring harness, the correct fit for your '21 Explorer is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118599.
