Do I To Add Reinforcement To The Ceiling When I Install These Lights.

Question:

I am planning on putting one of these above our kitchen sink and the other one above our dining table. At both of these locations I cannot get above the ceiling to add reinforcement to mount the light too. Can these just be screwed into the normal ceiling material in a camper without the fear of them falling during travel over bumpy roads? Thanks

You can attach the Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light w/ Shade - Satin Nickel - 11" Diameter # 277-000469-499 without proper support or anchors. But it will fall.

It will depend on the ceiling structure and the actual material/panels. You will have to run the proper wiring and will need a shallow work ceiling box to keep it up to code too. You would need to remove the panels or ceiling, run the wiring, replace panels/ceiling. Then add the shallow work box to offer the support you need to keep the light fixtures safe and in place.
