Published 09/24/2021 >
Question:
Air is working fine but propane furnace not coming on, there are two wires coming from furnace I hooked them to the two brown wires that say furnace therm. On air unit distribution box. As far as dip switches, wiring diagram shows 6 switches mine has 4 switches , so is number 4 actually 4 or does it become number 2 ?. I also noticed on other set of zone wires a brown wire says to gas furnace but it is on group of wires that go to a second zone , I only have one zone . Help ,!!

Lets start with the dip switches on your # FR58PR, and the diagram is showing a dual zone setup; your 4 dip switches indicates a single zone setup. You'll want to turn all of the dipswitches off except for the 2nd one. Once the dipswitches are in their correct positions you'll want to cycle the power off completely and then turn it back on.
You're correct that the second set of wires is for a dual zone controller and won't be used, but there are still some other things that you might need to do if getting the dipswitches into position hasn't completely fixed the issue. On the thermostat, does it show the heat option showing on the screen, as it's possible that the heat has been deactivated. You'll want to press and hold the up/fan button for 3 seconds and if FD appears that means the heat has been deactivated. To turn it back on you'll want to hold the down arrow and fan button for 3 seconds will change FD to FO.
If this doesn't get your furnace to turn on through the thermostat just let me know and I can continue to help you troubleshoot this issue.
