Do the Links of a Weight Distribution System Represent Tongue Weight
Updated 09/22/2021 | Published 09/21/2021 >
Question:
Are the multiple tongue weight ratings associated with each additional link pulled up to the brackets? For instance if 7 links equal 500 lbs TW then 6 would be 600 lbs 5 would be 700 lbs

The individual links on a weight distribution system like the # RP66541 do not represent different tongue weight values. It really just comes down to following the setup procedure that is outlined in the install instructions which are attached which basically comes down to using enough spring bar tension to allow the tow vehicle to sit level.
It is not required to know the tongue weight beyond making sure the system you pick out has correct range for the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded.
