Question:
I tried the universal mirrors that clamp on my factory mirror, but they didnt work...flew off when a semi passed. Will these wheel master door mount mirrors fit? Item # WM6600-2 I have no plastic molding on my doors. If not, which mirrors would you suggest? My understanding is that I cannot use a wireless rear view camera on my camper because it is aluminum-skinned. Thanks

The Wheel Masters Eagle Vision Universal Towing Mirrors # WM6600-2 are a universal fit so you will be able to install them on your 2016 Toyota Highlander, and they will be a lot more stable that the basic clamp on towing mirrors you tried.
Since there are no Custom fit mirrors available for your vehicle I recommend going with the # WM6600-2 as they are the most secure option available.
It is true that adding a wireless rear view camera to your trailer may have issues due to the aluminum skin having the protentional to cause interference, but that does not mean one cannot be installed.
We have found that installing the camera off to one side of the trailer and mounting the monitor on the same side of your vehicle allows for a much stronger signal to help combat the interference. For a good quality wireless system we have the Furrion Vision S # FOS05TASF which has a 5" monitor and includes one back up camera that can be wired to the reverse light circuit so it only comes on when you have the vehicle in reverse, or can be wired to the running light circuit so that the camera can be turned on at any time.
To avoid even the slightest possibility of interference you could also go with a hardwired system like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-770614 which includes two cameras that can be placed where ever you desire, and due to it being hardwired there is not possibility of interference.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
