For your 2017 Toyota Tacoma you'll actually want the Adarac Aluminum M-Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A57ZR for a 5' bed or # A97ZR for a 6' bed instead of the # A77FR which is a fit for Chevy/GMC trucks. This will prevent you from having to modify any part of the rack and voiding the warranty.
