Recommended Ladder Rack And Awning Setup For 2010 Ford Ranger

Really like the Erickson Ladder rack, but will it support an overlanding awning and awning room?

I have a solution for you, but the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack # EM07708 does not have any way to support an awning since there are no crossbars. You would need to install a ladder rack that provides crossbars preferably with a t-slot channel on top of them so that an awning can be easily fitted to it. For this, I recommend looking into the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Fixed Mount - 800 lbs - Silver # TH27000XT which has 65" crossbars with the integrated t-slot channel on top.
This rack is very popular due to the easy no-drill installation and the impressive 800lb weight capacity. If you don't have an awning yet then a great setup for you would be Thule HideAway Awning - Wall Mount - Waterproof - 80 sq ft # TH490011, Roof Rack Adapters # TH490001, and Tent Enclosure # TH307056.
