Question:
What size bungee cord do I need to secure a bin that is 66.5inch in diameter? I am putting a plastic to cover the top so no rain goes into the bin when transporting. The bungee cord would go around the bin just below the top. See picture of bin.

I recommend using the Titan Chain Tarp Tie-Down Straps # TCTS31 and # TCTS21 for your storage bins. These straps use a vulcanized rubber which will handle getting wet much better than a regular bungee cord. It will also hold the plastic in place much better.
There are 2 different straps needed to fit your 66-1/2" diameter. The Strap # TCTS31 is 35" long overall and the Strap # TCTS21 is 25-1/2" long overall. The 2 straps will give you a relaxed measurement of 60-1/2" and you will be able to stretch them to gain the 6" that is your total diameter.
