20 amp or 40 amp Charger for 2021 Subaru Ascent for Use with Tekonsha Trailer Wiring 118290

Question:
I have the 118290 harness installed and working for several months I am replacing the utility battery in my trailer with a lithium 12V battery. With this harness, what is most utility battery charging current I can draw? My choices are a 20A charger or a 40A charger.

Due to the thinner gauge wiring of the # 118290 for the 12 volt accessory circuit you'd be limited to the 20 amp charger for your battery.
