Can the Thule Xsporter rack be installed over a Tuxedo bed cover?

I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately since the Thule Xporter # TH500XTB clamps onto the bed rails of your truck, it will not work with a Truxedo tonneau cover. If you have a Trexedo tonneau cover that attaches fully inside the bed's bed rails, a great solution is the Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs # A87ZR (for 5-ft. beds) and the # A59ZR (for 6-ft. beds). The Adarac Aluminum Series ladder rack attaches on top of the truck bed's rails and utilizes the stake pockets as a mounting point without attaching on the bed rails. The tie-down kit # A4000882 can be added for a mounting point for securing straps like the SmartStraps Ratchet Tie-Down Straps w/ S-Hooks - 1" x 10' # 348155. In addition, you can also add sliding, adjustable load stops # A4000880 to help contain your cargo from shifting during transport.

One other thing to keep in mind is that if you have a Truxedo tonneau cover that folds, it is possible that the model can interfere with the height of the Adarac aluminum series custom ladder rack. I would be happy to assist you in confirming the fit of the Adarac with your tonneau cover if you provide the model.
