Question:
Hi - On October 23rd of last year I bought a DTALBM6825-2S Self-Locking, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount, 2.5inch Hitch. I recently took it out of the back of my pickup and saw that lock recepticle where the key goes in was misaligned. I cannot get the key into the lock. Any advice? Thank you.

That is definitely odd for the lock core of your Fastway Self-Locking, Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 2.5" Hitch - 8" Drop/9" Rise # DTALBM6825-2S to be misaligned like that, so I reached out to Fastway.
They said to take one of the keys and file off the out tab that is blocking the key from going in so you can realign the key cylinder. Once you grind that out tab off you will be able to take that key and put it into the lock cylinder; after realigning the lock it should be good to go.
You'll want to throw away the key you used to grind it down, because it could cause problems with the lock. Then if you let me know your key code they said they'd send you a new key to use.

I also have a fastway cuppler lock that has misaligned. I only have one key because I misplaced the other one.
