What is Distance Between Bike Trays of Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack

Question:

I have 2 Jupiter Defiant e-bikes fat tire, mid rise on the frame. Total weight with battery is 55 pounds. But they are wide on the rear frame. Can you tell me the maximum distance between tire carriers from side to side? Not front to back. In other words can I place two bikes in the carriers without them hitting each other? I would reverse load to minimize this potential problem. This would be going on the back of a VanLeigh Beacon. This also begs the question of whether or not the ladder would interfere with the carrier. Would I need an extension and if so, does is negate the fifth wheel approval? Thanks.

I reached out to Swagman for you, who said the distance from the center of one wheel tray to the center of the opposite wheel tray is 9-1/2 inches on the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR.

This has about 19 inches from the center of it's hitch pin hole out to the center of the nearest bike tray. You can use that dimension on your RV to determine if this could fit without an extender. We don't recommend using a hitch extender though as it cuts the capacity of the hitch it is installed it.
